CLASS PARTICIPATION Participation is crucial to the success of the class. Without it, the class can become long and boring. With your participation, the class becomes interactive, you will learn more, and it may even be fun! COURSE OBJECTIVES: 1. To begin to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, writing and reading in the Spanish language. 2. To communicate basic personal needs and information in the present time (greetings, physical descriptions, likes and dislikes, clothing, school, family, activities, food, home, health, directions, restaurant etc). REQUIRED MATERIALS: pencils/pencil sharpener/erasers /color pencils or crayons.
Informal assessments include a variety of assignments such as warm – ups, folder checks, quizzes, group work, in-class tasks, class participation etc. At the end of each Unit, we will have listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. A study guide or a word bank will be provided, PROJECTS Projects will be assigned that will Increase your global awareness and proficiency in relation to your foreign language study. When projects are assigned, you will be given a handout with specific instructions regarding the topic and the format. You will also be given a rubric for each project assigned.
